Silent Auction at Avoca Christmas Open House
Celebrate the Season at Avoca has been made even more exciting by the silent auction of some amazing gift baskets! Ranging from homemade ornaments to gift certificates and everywhere in between there is surely something for everyone on your Christmas list. A couple of the outstanding donations include an antique heart of pine box hand engraved for Avoca containing handmade cedar bird houses by local artisan Tim George. Kelly Mattox, former Avoca board member and Lynchburg artist donated a new kitten basket containing one of her coveted Guardian Angel Tree Toppers! Former principal, Linda Eubanks made a set of 12 day of Christmas Ornaments of solid wood and paired them with an intricately embellished cross. Each basket, donated by a local business, individual or club will help raise money for all the programs at Avoca. The baskets will be on view at the Avoca Open House on December 1,2, 8 and 9. Bidding has begun and will continue on through December 10th at 8pm where the winner will be announced at the Members dinner. Non members may choose to show up at 7:30 to bid on the baskets.
