Boating Safety Course

Boating Safety Course. Free. March 17, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Altavista YMCA. Advance registration required: call 434-369-9622 to reserve seating. Taught by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary. All materials provided. Bring a sack lunch or lunch at a nearby restaurant. All motorboat operators 30 years old or less, and all PWC operators of any age, must complete a boating safety course and quality for the Virginia Boater Education Certificate by July 1 this year. This course will also be given on April 7. Sponsored by the Leesville Lake Association.
