Due to expected severe weather today Campbell County schools is dismissing early. This means the elementary school will not be available for the Altavista District Campbell County Board of Supervisors Forum scheduled for tonight.
We are rescheduling the Board of Supervisors Forum for next Thursday, October 18th. This rescheduled event will be held at the Altavista Area YMCA Gymnasium. The doors will open at 6:30pm and the forum will begin at 7:00pm. The three candidates for the Altavista District Board of Supervisors, Kyle Goldsmith, Dale Moore, and John Tucker, will answer questions submitted by citizens. To be fair to each candidate, questions will remain confidential and will not be presented to the candidates prior to the forum.
Please take note, we are now combining the two scheduled forums into one event. The candidates for the open Altavista Town Council seats will be available for a Meet & Greet from 6:30-7:00pm, prior to the Board of Supervisors Forum beginning at 7:00pm. Please plan to come early and meet the Town Council candidates.
