Central Virginia Welding Wars Competition

Please mark your calendars for the first ever Central VA Welding Wars Competition on Friday, April 27^th from 10am-2pm. The event will be hosted on the CVCC campus in Lynchburg. We aim to have about 250 attendees at the event. We will host competitions at the high school, college and professional level. Awards will be given to the top performers and other students will have the opportunity to visit with employers, learn about the welding career path and tour the CVCC campus.

Registration for the event will begin mid-March. Registration will be given on a first come first serve basis. A representative from the planning committee will be reaching out to your company once registration is live.  

Your business will have the opportunity to sponsor a professional in the competition, meet with interested high school students, interview the top competitors and showcase your company’s career opportunities.  We will have 15 spots for vendor tables and 15 spots for the competition. Winners from the competition will be awarded monetary gifts and bragging rights among colleagues ☺.

We are also asking for giveaways to the event. T-shirts, hats, gloves, boots, welding equipment, and more are welcomed. Giveaways are also a great way to advertise your company to interested students. Let them be your walking billboard!

• Be on the lookout for the registration email (mid-March)
• And let the games begin!
