The Altavista Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner is getting a complete makeover. The Chamber has hosted the event at Altavista Elementary School featuring a catered meal, numerous awards and a guest speaker. After following a similar format for many years, the Board of Directors decided now is a great time to mix things up and give this event a makeover.
The Chamber will host the event in the ballroom at Virginia Technical Institute on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 6pm. This year, the theme, “Denim & Diamonds” has been chosen. Guests are encouraged to pair their best denim with lots of sparkle and bling! Opting out of a sit down meal, the first portion of the evening will be more of a social occasion featuring food stations and high top tables to give people more opportunity for networking. The event will also have a photo booth, music, cash bar, and an auction which will benefit the Chamber’s Education Foundation. The second half of the evening will be focused on honoring award winners for Altavista’s Business of the Year, Cornerstone Award (formerly Citizen of the Year), Innovation in Education Award, and Teachers of the Year from Altavista Elementary School, Altavista Combined School, Faith Christian Academy and Hurt Elementary School. The Altavista Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend “Denim & Diamonds: Awards Gala & Auction”. Tickets are $30/person and will be available to purchase through Friday, January 12.
