United Way of Central VA has teamed up with the Red Cross, the United States Army, Virginia Episcopal School and VAMAC to bring you a longer and obstacle filled race this year for the 2nd Annual Run For Your Life Zombie Run on Sunday, October 26th at 6pm. This year's course extends through the entire Presbyterian Homes Campus, and offers 3 sets of obstacles and 3 aid stations. At each aid station, runners will have the opportunity to collect extra life flags to ensure that they will survive the run. These flags can be purchased at registration for $10 and part of the proceeds will benefit the Red Cross!

Zombies and victims can register at www.runforyourlife.info. Zombie registration is $20 and victim registration is $35. All event details, including run precautions and rules can be found on our website. Zombies arrive at 4pm to receive their zombie makeovers provided by Wolfbane Productions and Sylvain Melloul International Hair Academy at the zombie entrance. Victims/Runners arrive at 5pm for registration at the victim entrance. Registration packets are picked up at check-in on race day and include Run for Your Life t-shirts, race maps, event logo items and sponsor coupons.

This year as registrants arrive they can visit our Zombie Festival Area beginning at 4pm while they wait for the race to begin. There will be several zombie vendors, photo opportunities and an art auction this year that will be available both before and after the race. We also encourage our participants to stick around for our awards ceremony beginning at 7pm with a special performance by our Zombie Fire Troop- Incendari. Thanks to Warmstreets Gallery, runners can also purchase an official zombie run flash drive for $10 that will include photos from 6 different photographers at this year's race.

This year's race has been generously sponsored by Wells Fargo, Fleet Laboratories, Appalachian Power, Humankind, Wolfbane Productions and American Red Cross. Obstacle sponsors include VAMAC, Virginia Episcopal School and The United States Army.
